KLD may not be the cheapest option compared with a one-person contractor, but the value is in the process: trained operatives, clear evidence, consistent reporting, office review and the ability to move from inspection into approved repair works without starting again.

If issues are identified and KLD is instructed to complete the approved works within 30 days, the inspection fee will be credited against the job. This gives agents and vendors a practical route from inspection to repair without paying twice when works are authorised.
